Just past lunchtime.
Once again, the canteen's promise that there would always be at least one veggie-friendly soup went unfulfilled.
So I had to have pizza.
It's a hard life.

oh boy, i sympathise with that.

it's my number one reason for never eating in chinese restaurants. also i love when you ask for something vegetarian, and they say, "vegetarian ? well, is chicken okay ? how about fish ?" as if chicken and fish were in fact vegetables. other favorite is when you see an ostensibly vegetarian product in the supermarket, but it turns out that (for example) the spinach and riccotta cannelloni have been prepared with chicken broth.

At the supermarket yesterday I couldn't get any pesto sauce because everyone is now making it with grana padano (I'm not saying they shouldn't, I'm sure it's lovely, but just one jar without would do me) and when we picked up a packet of 'Thai style' rice we discovered it was made with fish sauce - put the fish sauce in the main dish, not the rice!!!!!

(Oops, thread temporarily an honourorororoy branch of the Vent thread there, feel better now though)

i'm so glad to know i'm not the only one annoyed by these things !!!

maybe we should start a letter-writing campaign to the food manufacturers.

Good morning all, it's 6:00 AM PST. A little late this morning again. Had to download and install 8 updates from MS. Most of them were to to with security so I thought I better install them before going online. Now I must go read all I missed cause I went to bed early last night.
