I haven't measured it precisely, but it's close. The T62 loses very little battery when in sleep mode as well. The only thing I did was install SetCPU and then choose the recommended settings when I first ran that app. In the Boyue forums, I've seen a couple of other people who say they have very good battery life after installing a similar app.

Hello, could you please give the link? we would be very appreciate if you can help us.
Onyx's managament is a little confuseing, sometimes I even doubt whether they use their products in daily time, some bugs (screen, battery and stroage for installing apps) are obvious but after more than half year, they are even not included in those updates. It seems that they just make products, get money and then make new products.
May be next time i will choose boyue instead of onyx products if they continues.

If you look in the Android Devices threads of mobileread, you'll find several threads about Boyue devices. Here's one, for example: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=248702
That's what I was referring to.

Some have suggested a built-in reader is optimized for better battery life (perhaps it sleeps between page turns?), but there are multiple included readers and I've never seen anyone mention which they're using when making this claim, or what kind of improvement.

Using the onyxreader that opens pdfs and epubs from the default homescreen, I'm seeing a little improvement over my use of 3rd party readers like overdrive and kindle, perhaps as much as 25% better. I'll report back as I get a better idea of the difference.

Edit: I actually got a full 14 days this time vs 7 days using 3rd party readers, but the results were skewed a little because bad weather prevented me from reading outside much, so although I still read about 1 hour per day, it was during one session instead of two like the first test, which means only one cold boot per day, and that might account for some of the improvement. Better weather is ahead, so we'll see.

Hello everyone,

Without wifi and without light, I lost 25% of battery after two hours of reading.
It is recommended on the internet to install apps like Deep Sleep or SetCPU, but you have to roote it before. And I don't want to do so.

Do you have any advice for applications to save battery without rooting ?

Thank you.
