That's the best way to get the audio book. I do that with library books, too, to get a discounted audio book. I can't afford to pay $15 or more for an audio book I will listen to one time. $4 or $5 is my limit.

My first instinct was to wait on this - Great Expectations is one of the titles coming soon from Sync. After comparing the narrators, though, I think this one might be better.

I happen to be engaged now in listening to this audiobook little-by-little, and coincidentally came across this Whispersync deal for it. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this deal and I paid quite a bit more for the audiobook than what I could have gotten it for with this deal. And, I already owned the Kindle ebook, and would have had to pay only for the Whispersync audio companion! doh! But, being the magnanimous person that I am, I didn't want to keep you from grabbing the deal just because I didn't. Isn't that nice of me? (ha)

The Balkans, as you probably know, is the large geographic area north of Greece. It has a large number of ethnic minorities, the friction between which has led to numerous repeated wars and other conflicts through the ages. Religious differences between the peoples has led to wars and conflicts, also. Probably more wars/conflicts occurred there in the last century than any previous time in history. U.S. President Clinton sent peacekeeping troops there in the 1990's, during a conflict then.
