i feel your pain. we get far too much precipitation here too.

the worst is when we get it all summer though. at least in winter it's more or less to be expected.

International shipping rates would just about do me. And Houston keeps rejecting it. May have to shunt it off to Chicago. I hear they have some sort of big ass particle accelrator that needs cooling...

My sister lives in Barrie, Ontario, about an hours drive north of Toronto..

This was the scene there in November. The choice of music is questionable.

Pshrynk, I can feel your pain, but I think a white winter is much more bearable than a grey and rainy one. There´s nothing like summer though....

I was only there for a couple of days, but I really loved what little I saw of Vancouver. It reminded me of Sydney. It had that same outdoors-y vibe, friendliness of people, lovely water-based geography, surrounded by bush and mountains...it was just a little bit cooler than Sydney, and the mountains were a tad more impressive.

I think I could live quite happily in Vancouver, if I wanted back into city life.

Vancouver has a magnificent gardens the name of which escapes me right now, but well worth the trip just for that.
