Interesting, not a C OR B device.
You need to install the right boot.img in your device to make the touch screen works.

I have attached one from an update which has "T61" (name of the device) only without C or B.
You can try it but you have to use another tool

Download RK 2.1 tool

The address of the boot.img is:
0x00008000

Still the same result for me but with that boot.img the original Illumina boot animation is back.
I have adb working so I can post any information about my device
Or maybe you have other partitions in .img file from original Illumina

I found two recent Icarus's updates. One is a B update and the other is a C update.
Try them out.

i did again the official FW update
and again the touchscreen was not working

so had to flash the 2nd boot image to get it running

it seems like most of "improvements" tried over the official firmwares are leading to some sort of malfunctioning or brick just reading these posts.

What does not work with original firmware?

my t62 with last (two months ago) OTA firmware upgrade is now working just fine, at a
reasonable speed and good battery life...

I really miss just stardict or similar dictionaries on the stock reader.

All the rest is just working fine without messing with the firmware.

This is not to say you don't have to... (it's just up to you)
but to bring back to reality a "common user" that reading these pages could easily think this device is pure crap that needs any sort of fix.

IT IS NOT.

for my icarus, the touch screen malfunctioning happened after the official FW upgrade on the device itself

my Illumina is now rooted but I have wifi connection problem.
When wakeup from sleep wifi became unavalable and don't turn on in settings.
Only a reboot reactivate the wifi connection.
How to debug that?

I do not have internet connection on my T62. What is the latest firmware and Android version for this device? IS there a place where I can get these as offline downloads?
