Best Buy is selling the 8GB Fire HD 6 for $84.99 this week (through February 7).

The 8GB Fire HD 6 is $84 at Amazon.com, which is $15 off the regular $99 price. This promotion ends February 15.

This is a fantastic little tablet. It's very easy to hold and carry around.

Text and graphics are so clear that it's become my main e-reading device. Unlike other tablets, the backlit screen doesn't bother my eyes when I read for an extended amount of time. I also use the Fire to watch movies on my TV with this HDMI adapter.

It may have been too long since you bought yours, but it can't hurt to call Amazon. They did credit me when a similar price reduction occurred within a week after I purchased in December. In my experience, their customer service agents are very accommodating.

Well I chose the monthly payment route for mine and only got the actual unit last month. I guess I'll have to see if it is or not. Thanks.

I did query them. Apparently as I have already bought my kindle via the installment plan it can't be applied as such, but as a good will gesture they are applying a $15.00 refund on my purchase price. So I still come out ahead anyway.

I have a hankering for a sale on a PW2....maybe I'll get lucky and they'll run another $69 sale. (Of course I only want one so I can hack it and run KoReader...)
