Okay, I was able to do His Purrfect Mate (with 2 spaces instead of 1 between each word) for one of the titles and now both show up fine. You can't tell there's much difference either, which is great. Thanks again for your help!

@jenrar - no no, in your case its only a work around, and proof that the duplicate title is the cause of the problem, you would then have a repeatable scenario that the developers can work with.

An example of my case was because the 'book' (an essay length article by a left wing economist) as published in NYC, was quite different in its rhetoric to the same 'book' published in HK.

Added (bloody phone won't leave me alone) : I think you should report it as a bug here Bugs : calibre

It would probably still be very useful to others who run into this problem if you did a bug report on it as you have all the information including your screenshots to supply with it.
