			Writer2epub does a fair job for basic (like simple novels). 
		
	
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	
	It is a plugin for Open/Libre Office. Officially it is not a converter, but I have fed it DOC's and gotten EPUBS out. It even has a form for all the (spec) required metadata to be filled in. Like OO/LO, it is free and it also has a support forum right here at MR  |

			Give calibre a try, LOO+Writer2Epub would OK. but if you have MS Office then IMO LOO is yet another one of the same.
