The bad news: my iPad Air blue-screened only 2 months out of warranty and cannot be restored. Apple will replace it, but for $320. I am so mad.

Oh no! How old was it? If you want a cheap replacement for reading Kindle Fire 6 is the way to go.

It's one year and 2 months old. It's so hard to decide whether to buy a cheaper device and throw a $500 tablet in the garbage, or pay the $320 extortionate fee and at least have the same level of device.

That's ridiculous it died that soon. This is why I always use Squaretrade on any big purchases. I have one on my N7 and our big TV. Never had to use it but it's good to know it's there if I need it.

That would be a very easy decision for me to make. A 500.00 device that craps out in 14 months is totally unacceptable. That POS would get tossed, and a different device would be purchased, and it certainly wouldn't be by the same maker!

I bought one book last week. Alienated by Melissa Landers aka Macy Beckett for 99 cents and I got the Audible for $3.99 which I bought with Audible credit so it was really free.

I read one book last week. Alienated by Melissa Landers (4.5 stars) I really enjoyed it. It's a YA SciFi romance and very well done.

I plan to start the Lux series next and if that doesn't work out I thought of trying the Touch by an Alien series instead.

Things have been seriously stressful here. Hubby has worked all but 2 days this month. We are coming up on the year mark he has been unemployed. It's unheard of he has been without a steady job for that long. Things are looking bleak but I refuse to give up hope. It's all we have left.

Has anyone seen or heard from Brian? He has been gone for a long time.

I see Courtney Milan's Trade Me is loanable. Would anyone be willing to loan it to me? I'm one of the ones that has complained about her mistoricals (even though I do read them, go figure). I'm not really a fan of NA or first person, but after listening to her on the most recent DBSA podcast I'm interested in reading the book but not enough to purchase it.
