Hmm. I'm at a loss. I'd try re-downloading and re-installing on the off-chance that some bits got corrupted and if that does no good I'd cross-post into the Universal Flasher thread where Igor might be able to help. Anyone else have any ideas?

Where can I see the Personalized About Screen?? The About option just give boring detail about the device...

I formatted my SD card, first in NTFS..didn't work, then in FAT. I re-downloaded the program, made new files, and copied them on the SD. I now have a customized 505! I really like the uniform fonts on the menus and the right text justification off. I can now seem to read in a smaller font easier...it just looks better! Thanks so much for a great little upgrade!

This is the firmware issued with Readers sold in France.

I have PRS-505, firmware 1.1, Customizing (V1.04) work partially only - I have new icons, support for EastEuropean font work, bat I have not personalized logo and Menu keeps in English... where can be problem?

For the menus, go to the About screen; you should see 0 for clock, 1 for localization. Press 1 to choose your language. (note to self: this needs to be added to the documentation)

The personalized logo requires work on your part. From the readme:

Customized Logo
Did you know you could change your Reader's logo? (The black bar at the top of the screen that says "Reader.") You'll need access to a graphics editor, such as Photoshop or Gimp. In the directory prsfiles, you'll see two files:logo.png and kBookAssets.png. The logo.png file is a 210x70 file. Add your personalization details to this file, and paste it into the upper left corner of the kBookAssets.png file, covering the large text "Reader." Once you're done, you can select the "Replace logo" checkbox. After you flash and reboot, you should have a customized logo.

hi jeff,

thanks for the customizer.
did everything (i think) you told to get it working.
the iconsets works, i have put my own logo. that went well as well. what i don't get working is getting the joypad to use as page forward or the volume button.
what am i doing wrong.

Howdy Julia,

I'm assuming you're using PRSCustomizer 1.04. If you're not please download it.

Those options are checkboxes, joypad page forward on the left and volume key page turns on the left. If you checked those boxes, please try one more time and re-flash. If it still fails let me know and what firmware version you're using (1.1 USA, 1.2 UK).

hi,

i did all that and i used 1.04.
but i cannot see the personalized information in 'about' as well.
can it be that i'm using files.505.1.0.00.08130?
and i use 1.1. usa.
