HI,

I recently reset my Kobo N905B, and it seems that it is bricked now. I'm wondering if somebody could send me an image for the N905B and if possible any direction on how to restore it to factory condition. I've tried all the reset methods with no success so far.

Hello,
I'm new to these forums (just got a Kobo Touch) and since I don't want to join the line of people asking for an SD card image, I've decided to make an image myself. I have no problem with the software side (dd), but I can't remove the card itself. Can anyone help me?

Here's a blurry version (my Jolla isn't that good at shooting macros):

No idea how to open it and don't want to break it.

The one in the Touch is completely different from the second one. The card slides out. There is a ridge on the end of the card that you should be able to feel. Pull it to the left (when looking at that blurry photo - I feel like I have the wrong glasses on ) and it should come out with no problem.

When you put it back in, make sure it is all the way in. There have been at least one report of the device not booting because the card wasn't inserted properly.

I am 100% positive it is the same as in the second picture. I have tried pulling (and pushing from the other side) it really hard - I almost feared I'd tear the holder off - but with no luck whatsoever.

If it the same as in the other photo, you would be able to see a hinge when looking at an angle. But, I am sure that it isn't. Or at least it doesn't in the N905B Touch that I have pulled apart and in my Glo. In both, the card simply pushes in and is a tight fit. Pulling on the ridge on the end of the card is all that is needed to pull it out.

I was finally able to open it using this hint and some tweezers.

It indeed was the same as on the picture and I do have the N905B, but it is refurbished, so it might have been changed as a part of a repair.
