2 dumb questions

I had to refresh my windows installation, and I lost Calibre. I reinstalled, but can't remember (or find) 2 things:

1. How do I modify the GUI? I had moved things around, and added and deleted some things.
2. I used gmail as my proxy server, but that is no longer listed as an option on the welcome wizard. How do I figure out how to set it up?

Thanks. Now I have to redownload Office.

If you have good backups then the info in this thread might be helpful as you can often "restore" the configuration in much the same way as moving a configuration to a new machine:

No backups. As I said, I just forgot how I did it before.

It used to be part of the email wizard, but that was removed when GMail started making itself hard to use with third-party "less secure" applications.

Here is the configuration details in the source code: https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...l.py#L193-L207

So you will need:

hostname: smtp.gmail.com
port: 587
username: my_email_address@gmail.com
password: my_password

Then follow the directions here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255
And if you ever meet someone who works at Google, feel free to slap them.

I don't appreciate their scare tactics.

Note: It was merely a suggestion that you can, not a demand that you must.

Hey, I wouldn't mind potentially working there myself one day -- regardless, this is still stupid and deserves a slap.
Maybe that will receive a bigger reaction than sending feedback to be ignored.
