I use "Swiss Army Knife" for shopping lists. It actually has a whole bunch of neat functions as the name would suggest (including a shopping list) and I think it will sync with Android (I did have it on my Android as well). The shopping list is nice as you can have items categorized by aisle and then just flip through the screens for each aisle as you go. That way it doesn't matter what order you enter items in the list, only the ones for where you are currently at (i.e. meat, dairy) show up which makes it easier not to miss or have to go back. It is free. Last edited by robko; 01-18-2015 at 03:34 PM. Reason: added more info |

I used mine as a phone for about 6 months. Works fine as a phone, as long as you don't want to put good apps on it.

I'd have no problem using it as a phone. I love how Cortana can correct your speech as you talk so if you stutter and or are dyslexic like me and try to correct she knows that and fixes it. Google Now doesn't, Fiona doesn't or Voice Mate so I have to start over.

Can you tell me the answer as Cortana only works if you set your phone to the US....

I can't help it. You guys convinced me to order a Lumia 520 for $29 with free shipping from Microsoft along with a $5 case. Its on the way.

LOL! I think I'm going to have a New Year's Resolution for the month of February to learn how to operate this thing.

Yes at least a media player and I am open to trying it on a lot of other things. I am thinking a backup phone. But mainly just something to experiment with and see what can happen. Currently my wife and I share an iPhone which generally works fine. Usually we are either together or one is at home so one is all we need but there may be times...
By the way I made a wiki page for this phone. Dale |

I wish we could order that one for under €30... I'd buy one in a flash for my husband (who is still using my old Nokia Lumia 800, which runs Windows Phone 7.8)
(I just checked the price, here, a 520 comes at the price of around €80 (which is around $90, including taxes) Last edited by Sweetpea; 01-20-2015 at 01:53 AM. |
