books list in the library
I use caliber since four years.
Today the book list was complitelly empty; I have controlled the settings and the used library was still the same and have (check from folder directly from the hard disck)
I have inserted four new books and I am able to see only these one on the library and these book are now on the folder on the hard disck together with all the old books.
Whi I don't see also the old books?

@fabia52 - my guess is that your database is corrupt.

If you have a backup of the library then you could restore it.

Or you could try running Library Maintenance->Restore database.

How do I backup calibre? (← click)

DropBox screwed up your library, you will need to restore those particular books by hand, simply re-add them manually. And in the future, if you are putting your calibre library in dropbox, make sure that two processes do not modify it at the same time.

That error says that the Id's for the books listed have ended up being duplicated in the library somehow. Do you pause Dropbox syncing when running Calibre - that error could be caused by Dropbox syncing at the wrong time.?

Did you let any sync fully complete, before starting the other Calibre (assumes Calibre #1 was shut down. 2 active Calibres on the same DB is a recipe for troubles)

The OP says after the booklist blanked s/he tried adding more books.

The erroring book ids are, literally, 1-6.

Dropbox had nothing to do with it, this is what happens if you superimpose two libraries on top of each other.
