I assume you're referring to Echo's software version...not the version of the app itself. When you click on Settings within the app (you may need to swipe to the right from the left side of the screen to access that) and then select your device (top menu item), it should show Echo's version when you scroll to the bottom, right above the serial number. You don't see that?

Yes, I was refering to Echo's version number and it was missing. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, and it now appears, v2221. Scratching my head...

Seems i can now order @ 99$ but still i vascillate...i still have bad taste from ghe past few gen 1 devices i bought over the last decade...even the K1 was replaced so fast...dunno again, sigh, dwluver is not until May si i have time i suppose.

ah yes I seldom get OTA updates on my Amazon devices. I worry about that with Echo when I get it as I usually have to manually update.

I finally got my Ubi to connect and complete the setup. The speaker quality leaves a lot to be desired compared to the Echo, and there's a definite lag in response time compared to the Echo, but I can set multiple reminders and it will tell me verbally to take my pills, call the vet, etc, instead of just chiming at a specified time. So it's a keeper too.
