Bumping because I've happily challenged myself for a resolution for 2015 and the number 1 on my list is to learn and improve even more so this year compared to the previous years. I also need to master Chinese and learn how to play the guitar so I can share my talent on our annual Holiday family reunion.

Basically my focus will be on:
-Adventure
-Relationships
-Self-improvement (this is the most challenging for me, I'm currently applying and restructuring my work outs to stay fit)
-Charity

Not a revolutionary change, but I'm focusing on overall "fitness."

I used to go on long hikes several times a week -- my "regular" route is 6 miles, but my "regular alternate" route is 8 miles, and I have other routes that range from 4 miles to 12 miles. The best of those walks were with Shadow, who left us a couple of years ago and shared my love of late night (in the 10 PM to 2 AM time frame) walks.

I tore a meniscus last year, and while laid up from that my feet developed ... personality problems. I should be able to take care of them later this month.

While I'm waiting for the walking to start again I've ordered some new attachments for the weight machine in the basement -- more "physical therapy" than "weight training" in nature.

And weight loss is on the list, but I'm down about 20 pounds in the last 3 years -- (very) slow and steady, but I should be able to maintain it.

And now, time to clear the snow off the driveway. That counts, right?

I have a proven routine to slim down the excess weight that I carry, I just need to end the holiday inspired break before I get too lazy. I must also take into account that this routine (which is just going at a stationary bike for 2x40 minutes per day) will have to stay with me for the rest of my life as my metabolism will stride into super slow motion or still life.

Wish I have a proven routine though, I really need to lose all those weight I gained since Halloween. Considering it takes me just one week to gain one kg and one month of crazy dieting to lose one kg, I should really be more motivated to start my dieting plan. There are still too much leftover snacks and treats from the festive season, so I hope I'll be motivated enough to stick to my dieting plan... once I clear off those surplus LOL!

My New Year's resultions consist of dieting, of course (I have to stick to my diet for health reasons), growing spiritually, spending more time reading and learning--much more time, getting organized (not only organizing digital files, but physical space as well), moving back to New Mexico, visiting sacred sites in Chimayo and Albuquerque (very spiritual, miraculous sites), finding a place to call home (even if it's just a tiny apartment in the ghetto lol)... and exercising, in that order.

'Cause of old hamstring/calf injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome, I can't exercise like I used to... so walking will do.


EDIT: Ooh, I forgot to mention... keeping daily To Do lists (at least five times a week). That'll help me stay focused throughout the coming months.

I actually listened to a TTC lecture... four TTC lectures today. It's barery 11:00! I woke up early (at 4:30), chanted a few mantras, then took a break and began working on my new-used KitKat tablet. Lo and behold, an MP3 was playing on its own (this has happened a few times) and it was about a problem I'm having with a relative! The TTC course is Understanding the Mysteries of Human Behavior. I highly recommend it for those of you who wonder why the hell others act the way they do. lol I digress... I listened to four of the lectures, ate a healthy breakfast (fruit salad), and worked on my KitKat for four hours already! I'm using my time wisely finally! Now all I have to do is type a thorough To Do list on this tablet... and a few other things.

'Hope everyone's New Year's resolutions are going well!
