Gtrs, I had it for the first time at a friend's home Christmas Day. She made a cold salad with it, and it was delicious! However, I couldn't say how much of the taste was the quinoa.

I asked her what was so special about quinoa. She said that it is a whole protein. She said that beans and rice together make up a whole protein, but quinoa does it by itself.

I used the pre-washed stuff the first few times I made it, but then I bought it from a bulk store because it was cheaper. I didn't know that the washing mattered until I made a batch of the new stuff and it was rather unpleasant.

Thank you for reposting! There is a pressure cooker recipe book in there. I haven't seen many of those for free so I grabbed it.

I've been eyeing the do-it-all Instant Pot. Does anyone use one? Do you like it?
