I surely wouldn't bid on one....I use "buy it now" and that's how I search, too. I suppose if you can find one new in sealed box, it might be ok to buy, hopefully not stolen and black listed....why take the chance? I'm sure Amazon will put it on sale again.

My thinking too. Also Amazon has great customer service for their devices.

I Love my Fire Phone, I showed it to several of my family over the holidays and they were impressed. I think the majority of people have bought into the "theory" it was a crap phone because of the bad publicity it received when it first came out.
I loved showing the wallpaper with dynamic perspective. They always tended to turn the phone and I would say "Hold the phone still and TURN your head" That always got them!!

I thought when you ran wireless it automatically turned off the 4g. How do you turn it off? I know how to do it on my Kindle Fire but the settings are not the same on the Phone.Thanks!

Is there any way for me to put my own MP3 music files on the phone and play them? If so any help would be appreciated. What folder and will it play with what player? Thanks.

Just drop the mp3's into the "Music" folder. I usually give each album it's own directory and then drop the mp3 into sub-folder.

You have to go to settings then WiFi & Networks \ Turn Offf Cellular Data Access\ Cellular Data. It's crazy how much works it takes to turn it off.

I'm looking for an app that will allow to toggle right now I haven't found one that works correctly.

Another very useful feature on the phone is the Search Box in Settings. For instance, type in mobile or data and it will show you the way. I have used this feature many times as the Settings are as you stated somewhat different from stock android.

Don't forget this phone has Mayday too!

If you are lonely or bored you can talk to a Amazon Rept who will show you how to do or find something on the phone.

I've used Mayday back when I had a HDX dying on me. It's quick and easy.

Okay got tired of waiting and decided to give a go on the screen protector. I watch the video and the first installation was a disaster. Watch the video three more times then tried again. Now it's a tad crooked on the button alignment but there are no bubbles!

Not going to try again. I will save the last one as a replacement I would defiantly get these again.

No degradation of quality. It's truly is nearly invisible. If it was on straight I wouldn't even know it was there.

I then installed the new case and it's not one I would buy again. It has two pieces and the first piece is soft rubber, too soft and does not fit snugly enough for me. The second piece is hard plastic and I like that part. It could be a great case if the first piece was made of stiffer material like TPU and fit snug.

I have a Mr. Shield on my Fire HD 6. The first attempt went in the trash. The 2nd is perfect except for one corner. I'm not touching it!

I would use that brand again.

Yes me too. I love the stuff that comes with it. The sticky tape and clear tape work great to get the dust off! The important part is to watch the video before trying to install it.

Mine would have been align better but my oldest kitty decided she was going to start meowing very loudly for no reason right when I had it straight. Startle me and when I try to fix it I pulled the wrong tab. Getting the bubbles out is easy peasy with these.

Thanks everyone for the help. I have been hesitant to try mayday.

One question I have that I know mayday won't be able to help with is installing google play. I have tried twice to do the download that does not root the phone or cause you to lose your warranty. It works for a few hours then I start having apps freeze up on me. Has anyone had luck with downloading it and working well? I really miss my mighty text app that lets me text from my pc and get notifications.
