Not all expire in a year. I remember a few times that had coins expire in a month or two.

It's not that easy. You have no idea if they've already been spent. Nor do you know how many you need to spend to avoid losing them. So you need to go back and figure out when they were earned and what you've spent so far.

It gives you the balance of each transaction so that shouldn't be too hard to do.

Since Amazon takes the earliest expiring coins first when you spend them, you just have to take your current total and backtrack from the most recent earned coins until you hit that total. It doesn't matter how much you've spent.

Doing the spent coins method is quicker for me than this one is. I only had to add up 10 spent transactions verses 22 earned transactions.
