Amazon's Device Limit

So I just found out Amazon is doing some changing. You know how we have 10 device limit on Amazon Music settings page well it turns out you can no longer deauthorize all devices at once. You use to be able to do this one time a year.

So I contact Amazon and ask them to remove all devices from the MP3 settings page and he told me they did away with that option and he have to do one by one. He told me he saw 7 devices which I had 10 so I had reauthorize the 2 that were in queue to be deauthorize before he could get rid of it.

That was James before him I email Amazon asking them to Deauthorize My devices from my Music Library Settings page This was the first response.

What I didn't know this person deauthorized all my Kindle eReader devices Everything but what I asked for! All Kindles, Kindle For PC. I am seriously thinking of writing Jeff on this one.

I am going to go cry now.

This still shows on my - Your Amazon Music Library Settings --> Manage Your Devices - page. Does it still show up on your page?

Deauthorize all devices
(You deauthorized all devices on December 15 2014. This feature will be disabled for one year from this date. If you need assistance, contact us.)

Permitted once a year. You can immediately clear all authorized devices.

Nope. It does not. He told me even on his end he no longer has that option to do so.

I think this is a bad move by Amazon even worse when they deauthorize everything you own because of incompetent customer service.

Just now finished Registering my devices. It turns out they kept all pending books, Device Names and email addresses so I didn't lose anything. *phew*

I did find out Amazon now let's you choose a default device which means that device will show up first on the drop down box of a book you're buying. I set mine to Kindle For PC because I send all my books there for disinfection.

Blossom I ordered [as u know] my Phone this morning .. It has No numbers just says Fire Phone on my Manage Devices page.... Amazon has it Listed 1st!! Me thinks some thing is wrong either your information or they goofed added the phone on my account.

O and last week when I couldn't get my other phone I went to delete it Amazon had Added 7 not kidding 7 apps for android & 3 Phones to my device list!! The more I tried to delete the more they pop back up, the apps not phones.

Amazon gone WILD!

You didn't order is as a gift did you? If you don't order it as a gift it will come registered to your account.

As for the 10 device limit it's on the Amazon Music settings page.

There is actually several device lists in the Amazon Account Area.

1. Music devices - Found on Music Settings page (Limit 10 devices)
These are devices authorized to play music from Amazon Cloud and Prime Music. It takes 30 days to deauthorize a device.

2. Kindle Devices - Found on MYK which now called Manage Your Content and Devices page
These are devices authorized show your Kindle books and Audible library. You can set one as default and it show at the top of the dropdown box when buying a book.

3. Android app Devices - Found on Your Apps and Devices pages
These are devices registered to the Amazon App Store. So you can buy, download and use their apps.

4. Video Devices List - Found in Amazon Instant Video Settings
These are devices that are registered to show Amazon Instant Video and Prime Instant Video.
