change my email at amazon.co.uk - impact on kf?

For security I want to chane the email address onmy amazon account
I see how to do that on theweb site but what happens then to my kindle fire.
Does it cope or do I risk losing stuff
Has anyone done this hassle free?
Then does my kindle for pc app also cope and my prime movies app on my ps3, or will theyneed reregistering

The various devices/apps use IDs to remain registered, not your email address. They don't know and don't care what your email address is, unless you are in the middle of registering.

that is what I read elsewhere, but It would be a huge hassle if my KF fire messed up, I'd really like someone who has actually make the change to confirm that it was trouble free.

the reason for changing is that I set up KF amazon account with my main gmail account, and that's having all eggs in 1 basket if the google account ever got compromised.

so I am thinking of having a dedicated email account for amazon shopping.tablet/apps which I don't use anywhere else on-line

i had a 2nd amazon account just for kindle books into kindle for PC - not linked to any table t& someone , somehow got into that, registered 2 x "android devices", bought 10,000 coins... huge row with amazon over that. I got the money back & the account reset but they absolutely refuse to say what devices were registered, from what country. what IP addresses, what device SNs.. i.e. none of the info I wanted to help determine how this was done. I think maybe that email account got hacked & used to do password resets, as I found the fraud only when locked out of my own account.
so that's the additional reason to have a specific amazon -only email for the main account that I use with tablet & apps.

Latest 13.000 accounts hacked story convinced me to go ahead
All ok , kf still works. I now have a "hidden" email account used only for amazon

I did this last year you will only need to enter the new email if you are registering a device. Last week Amazon deregistered every device I own when I asked them to deregister the 10 devices in my music settings so I could start over seeing they no longer allow you to do that once a year. So I spent two hours registering all my devices which are many.

I agree it's good to use a email for only amazon and a unique password with letters, numbers, symbols...etc
