it is a Place spirit. Part of nature. It will look like such.

Ent-like would be my guess, though I am willing to entertain other suggestions as long as they aren't "Golem!"...

Actually my own interpretation very closely resembles a traditional golem as well, but instead of being made of clay, it's composed of earth and plant material, with two bright green glowing eyes.

Since Harry's description is very limited it allows for a lot of difference in each reader's visualization of the character of Alfred Demonreach. Harry's description is:

I looked up to see a hulking form in a dark cloak standing over me. It was ten or twelve feet tall, and built on the same scale as a massively muscled human, though I never really seemed to see much of the being beneath the cloak. It stared down at me, a pair of pinpoints of green, fiery light serving as eyes within the depths of its hood.

So, considering this description, I visualize a humanoid shaped 10 or 12 foot tall figure wearing a hooded cloak with two glowing green spots of light showing from under the hood. I think of the underlying figure (what's under the cloak) as looking sort of like a Golem from Jewish folklore.

This is what I imagine.

That is one of the powers of Butcher (and other good writers). He does not give too much details, so you can fill in you own characters but at the same time provide too much not to be distracted. imagination is everything.

Sometimes it is a bit distracting. In a good way I guess. I am usually looking at the "scene" from one direction, until more is wrote about the exact orientation. Then everything spins around, sometimes spinning back to what I initially thought. Deamonreach, in my head, changes quite drastically the first time he appears. With hood, no hood, talking with a voice and mouth, then without voice.
