Well, as we know, I can't upload pictures from work due to some stupid network restrictions the IT people assure me do not exist. So not today. But there will probably be something by the end of the week.

Working. Probably 'til midnight. Probably tomorrow, too. No time to catch up on MR even though I see that marc and RSE have been writing stuff I wanna read. Still haven't read pshwynk's. Gotta look at what Sony's been up to with their new store. Gotta finish converting some books. Gotta rake the lawn, prune the bushes, scrub the....oh, forget it. No time....for sergeants or anyone else.

working until midnight ??? don't you get up at some ungodly hour like 5 to go to work ?? you tell your boss for me that that is over the line and he should be ashamed of himself, and you're going home RIGHT NOW.

i hope your job gets more reasonable soon. i've had times like that too and it's exhausting and not fun at all.

don't worry about the ongoing saga of vera ; we'll keep the episodes warm for you.

Right now?? Watching the sewer explode. Yep .... the other day it was a flood, then it was imminent arrest ... now the sewer has exploded.

Does life get any better than this???

Sounds like he was kick-starting the Apocalypse. I'm sure I read a bit about "gaseous fulminations and rivers of effluent" in an eschatology text somewhere or other. I'd just always assumed it was a metaphor for "cable television".

Guess not ... apparently, they were talking about the sewers of Texas. Nice guy who did the repairs (or whatever he did out there in the dark) finished them up after about 2 and a half hours, and disappeared into the night.

I guess I'm allowed to flush my toilets and do the dishes now ... although I really don't feel much like it. I'm simply on tenterhooks waiting to see what fresh hell tomorrow will bring.
