The entire point of this whole discussion is that we are discussing CANADA. OverDrive is well-known for offering Kindle checkouts as a United States exclusive.

I have personally checked out hundreds upon hundreds of Kindle books through OverDrive -- I assure you I know "OverDrive has Kindle formats".

But that option is not there for non-US libraries.
