That is odd, the detecting of networks for Koreader's use of Wifi, is normally done by first using Nickel to add the network to those the device detects. The scan for networks and the creation of the network ID listing happens in Nickel, it is not a process that Koreader should be able to effect.

I think it may be some problems in nickel.sh. I find this bug for a long time and it happens in firmware 3.8.0 and 3.11.0.

some of the pdf's in archive.org have a darkish yellow paper and opening them in koreader and scrolling through them takes ages and causes freezes. Any ideas? Or is the Kobo aura simply not powerful enough?

Is this with reflow on? Can you give a link to an example?

I don't like to read the pdf's with reflow on or the epubs or txt files primitevly made from them, as they are full of OCR mistakes, wrong line breaks etc. Take for example the pdf of Isaac Rosenberg's poems, archive.org link https://archive.org/details/poemsbyisaacrose00roserich

DjVu will work much better. As I just learned from tigran, you can easily get them from Archive.org using the HTTPS link.

I copied the Rosenberg poems djVu onto my reader, when opening in koreader it says "no reader engine for this file". Using nightly 1289

Indeed. Thanks for the report. It's a bug in koreader, we're missing a needed symbol (i.e. linked code).
Edit/PS: Should be fixed in next nightly & upcoming stable release.

Recently I reset my Aura Hd and decided to use StartMenu instead of my olf Fmon. So I installed Koreader v2014.04, together with the latest version of StrtMenu. Everything seems to be working just fine instead of the standby(suspense) mode. It shows the Stand by dialogue for 2 seconeds, and then it disappears, and the screen responses to any touch actions. Did anyone have face the same problem?

Wait 2 days (estimated, maybe sooner, maybe later), and there'll be a new stable release. I think yours might be one of the issues that is supposedly fixed.

Thanks for your reply, but I replaced it with the latest night build release. It works like a charm, although it seems there is no such thing as hyphenation in that version.

Hm, we really haven't changed a thing w/ regard to hyphenation, I think. Maybe it's the document? It certainly works here. I can change in the second menu ("document" symbol) via "Hyphenation" from the default setting, and it certainly happens (e.g. from English to @none).

Koreader v.2014.11 on my Kobo Touch N905C shows a coordinates issue. The menu items can be activated only touching the right side of the screen. Touching the above side results in page forward. This issue is different from the known coordinates issue, which I used to correct modifing the input.lua file (I tried that to no avail). Touch on firmware 3.11, launcher KSM.
