It picked up both authors on the following story:

that is part of a universe.

I don't think there are any series or universes with multiple owners, just the independent stories in them.. So that appears to work

FYI, the adapter for that site was written by one of the other developers. I've asked them to take a look at it when they can, but it may be a while.

It's working fine for me with that page.

The error "urlopen error [Errno 11004] getaddrinfo failed" suggests an issue with resolving the domain name. It could be many things, but it isn't a problem with FFDL itself.

The id on the URL is wrong and visiting it gives story not found. "Lifeline" by Jay Cantrell is has id 10836. The URL is http://finestories.com/s/storyInfo.php?id=10836.

I can't test if that is working in FFDL until later tonight.

Yup, that was it (I didn't have time to investigate when I ran across it earlier). Somehow, ffdl got the wrong url at some point, or finestories changed the storyid.. odd either way, but nothing to do with the beta...

could you please help me? I'm using an external hard drive for my Calibre library. The USB port (or something else I'm not sure) gave up the ghost for a short time in the middle of a batch update. (Only 7 stories). Is there a way to identify the affected stories? The epubs got updated, the metadata was not, and Calibre gave an error about not finding the list I use to keep track of the new updates. I also lost 3 months worth of emails, so I can't go back to the folder thunderbird puts the notifications in.

When downloading stories from www.fimfiction.net it stopped getting the author. It says the author is "None" and links to http://www.fimfiction.net/user/None. It worked fine yesterday. The problem only started today.

Thanks for FaceDeer, we already have a fix for the FimF Author issue.

Attached is a version (without the BS4 test code) for that issue. Please let me know if does (or does not) fix the issue for you.
