Amazon resolved my issue with the Phantom of the Opera audiobook.I had to check the book back in through KU to get it free on Audible.

I also got the get $10 for buying 4 credit for next to nothing.

I just wonder if they'll take purchases from the earlier expiring credit first, since my Verizon credit is also still in my account and that one has more time. Once I had to call because they applied the credit on a latest date, first used basis and I was not happy when my credit poofed. Ever since, I've just avoided the situation by killing all the credit by the earliest expiration, but with $20 on tap, I'd prefer to let some of it linger, in case I see a Daily Deal I'd like.

Perpare for a conversation with CS. I had this situation earlier this year when we had a B4G10 and either the Hertz or Avis promo. It used the later-expiring credit first since it was applied first. My wife would have lost some of her credit if I hadn't spent time on the phone with them over this.

Specially with Christmas sales coming up they always do each year. I spent mine already but got the $10 credit for November now just waiting on those sales.

Tips & Suggestions
  • go after the free offers first (in the order listed)
  • Kindle Unlimited promo requires a free 30-day trial and then a 2-mo paid KU subscription ($9.99 per mo) - you can stop after the trial, but you'll only get one free audiobook
  • if none of the free offers work, then try the paid offers
  • the worst offer is the one for 50% off - that will cost you $44.85 for 6 audiobooks

I installed the app when this was first posted, but I could only find one book I wanted ("Ender's Game") so I selected that thinking that I had until January to select another one. I just went back to see if they have any new selections and things have changed.

First, the book I had selected is gone from my library. Second, they do have a new selection of titles (below). Third, there is a note in the app's promotion that says "Promotion valid for one week after selecting first title."

Finally, apparently the terms have changed. The app's page on the Google Play store says:

I was going to email B&N about the problem/confusion, but they've removed any option to email them for support from their website. While frustrating, this isn't as great a loss as it may seem. They've always managed to misunderstand most previous support emails I've sent so completely that I just gave up. So I'll have to call them or chat during business hours.

The only thing I'm aware of is this offer listed at RetailMeNot -- Only £3.99 for the First 3 Months. It hasn't had much success, but give it a shot.

LivingSocial has had two free month offers in the past; but not currently.
