Amazon have said that (I don't know about the Voyage, but certainly the older models) they sell Kindles at cost price; they make money from selling content, so yes, I'm absolutely certain that there's decent profit on the cases!

Update this morning from Square Trade is they have cancelled the warrenties at their end which Amazon Square Trade have cancelled and they will refund us directly into my bank account, bypassing Amazon completely. IF Amazon ever refund us we have agreed in writing to refund Square Trade.

Square Trade themselves couldn't have been more helpful and they have also experienced the appalling level of service from Amazon and apparently they will be raising it higher. (At least that's what I've been told)

It's only the Square Trade dept within Amazon that's the problem, the lady at Square Trade wondered if it's a training thing as they have an agreement with Amazon that the dept within Amazon do all Warrenty refunds, transfers etc, but when her supervisor talked to them yesterday they refused point blank to do anything. They never realised the Amazon dept was like that.

I ordered the Fintie Voyage case (Map version) which should come tomorrow.

I just received my Voyage yesterday, I was surprised at how well it fit in the original Paperweight leather case.
Of course it is a temp option since it will slide around in there but it sits pretty flush and the magnet keeps the case closed tight.

I hate to say it as right now I'm loath to give Amazon a penny but I've ordered the Orchid Origami case.

My black one might be on the Flea market after Christmas

But I thought the reason you disliked the Origami cover was the fact that it wasn't a "book" cover, and so wouldn't give you the privacy you needed when reading. That hasn't changed, has it?

Personally I really, really like the Origami cover.
