I received the Fintie case today. It replaced the one I ordered on eBay with the metal thingie (what do you call that thing?). There was a bit of a gap between the spine and the device. The Fintie seems to be more snug and has less flex in the spine. Also, the look is different.

Has anyone tried one of the Verso covers? They do not make one that says it will fit the H2O but they do have sizes for the iPad mini and the Kindle Fire Hd. I like some of their ideas.

I've ordered the Fintie case tonight. Hopefully I will like it.

Coming soon, a pretty nice looking leather cover. A little pricey, though.

I once bought noreve case and never used it in the end. I found it very heavy and uncomfortable to hold.

I have the same opinion. Not only that, the quality was sub-par, IMHO, particularly for the price. There was glue oozing out of all the seams and the stitching was not uniform in several places. I would not purchase from Noreve again. The best quality leather covers I have purchased in the past are made by Piel Frama and a few from Vaja. The Piel Frama leather is the soft kid leather -- beautiful yet durable. Sadly, I would not ever expect to see any cases for the H2O, or any Kobo, from either of these two companies.

If the H2O case is anything like the HD case, it's won't be all that good because the stand has it in landscape. That's useless when the text is portrait.

Does anyone actually make a genuine leather cover for the H2O?

I have the Mulbess Case complete with stand and sleep function from amazon for my Aura HD. As soon as I ordered my H2O I ordered one for it (It's here and my H2O has yet to ship!) $15 for a sleep cover that protects edges and has a stand so I can crochet and read at the same time.

I don't have much confidence in Mulbess. As you can see in the attachments, the screen is broken. That doesn't give any confidence in a cover when the advert shows the Reader it is supposed to protect being broken.

But in any case, I don't like the handle in the back. Using it makes it not so easy to use the touch screen.

Couldn't believe that they'd actually use those pictures to advertise their cover, but checked it out--and they are indeed using pictures with a broken screen to show off their case:

Even if the cover is good, it's not for me because the way they show you holding it via the strap in the back. That really will make using the H2O problematical as you'll need two hands. One to hold the case and the other to touch the screen.

Mine also had some sharp stitching sticking out and I had to file it otherwise it was pricking my fingers. Meh. Luckily I bought it majorly reduced.

This case is triple thick (the back, the frame and the stand) with all those folds. I once had and returned Amazon basic case for K3 for that reason, it added a lot of weight and even more thickness.

I had a natural hemp case made by Tuff-Luv for my Kindle 4 and loved it. I asked Tuff-Luv if they planned to make them for the H2O and they said no.
I saw some similar cases made by Cover-Up, but they only had ones for the Aura HD. I sent them an email asking if they planned to make them for the H2O and received this reply:

Hi Scott,

You're in luck! We are indeed creating our natural hemp cases especially for the Kobo Aura H2O. These cases are in production at the moment and are due to be available in just over a weeks time. Whereabouts in the world are you? We have literally just listed the first lot for preorder on Amazon.co.uk (you can find them here) and they'll be listed on other Amazon sites and our website shortly. Please be aware that if the images aren't loading yet it's because they can sometimes take an hour or so to process.

Just to give you a head up. they're actually on pre-order at a reduced rate of £11.95, this will be increased to £18.95 when the stock arrives at our warehouse.

Many thanks,

Jen

I took advantage of the pre-order discount and ordered from Amazon.uk even though I'm in the USA. My order, including shipping, was just a little under $23 US. I know this type of cover isn't for everyone, but if you like these now would be a good time to order.
