Thumbs up USB tethering works!!!

Hi,
I was searching for a way to enable USB tethering in android so as to use my glo as monitor at night using vnc and since kvncviewer support just 1bit as I think.

I've found a temporary solution for USB tethering by compiling kernel without Android usb gadget and enabling CDC ethernet, so you will lose adb and storage mode, but I will try to patch the code to get proper solution.

Unlike vnc through wifi, vnc through usb is very usable.
I use x11vnc server, high contrast theme, set saturation to 0 in window manager, high contrast extension, enabling grayscale by default in google chrome, and bvnc in the glo.

the kernel to flash.

finally I can work on computer at night without hurting my sleep quality.

I will give details about this subjet/how to later please wait!!!
thank you!

Nice that you worked it out. Kvncviewer is not 1bpp, however. Though admittedly, the codebase needs a bit of love.

Edit/PS: this is not about what you seem to think, Katie1. At least from what OP wrote. Is there even a Kobo with 3G?

I'm confused as to what you think is against policy here... Could you maybe explain?

What's not allowed to be talked about is tethering a Kindle using 3G. This is tethering using WiFi. That's allowed.
