H2O; does it work in direct sunlight ?.

Before buying the H2O I would like to establish whether it functions for extended periods when exposed to direct sunlight?.

My Glo freezes when used in harsh direct sunlight requiring a hard reset.

I've never had a Kobo malfunction because of bright light as such. I have, however, seen several models of Kobo malfunction because they got too hot or too cold. I would check the spec for the H2O (and your Glo) and consider whether they're overheating.

Specifications and reality don't coincide with my Glo, My Glo does freeze in tropical sunlight due to overheating, which is why I want to verify if someone has read with their H2O for extended periods of time in DIRECT SUNLIGHT to determine whether it overheats, I never take a OEM's word on anything as they tell one what one wants to hear.

You might need to specify what sort of temeratures you experience to get a more useful response.

I read for extended periods in direct sunlight on my Glo and have never had it overheat enough to stop working, but I am in a temperate rather than tropical climate, it rarely gets above 30C (albeit with very high UV levels sometimes.) It does ghost more when it gets hot, and there are sometimes some lines that form near the bottom of the screen, but reducing the number of pages between refreshes fixes that.
