Just try to be patient and wait for your invite. The ebay prices will probably stay high, due to lack of availability.

DH was really getting into it yesterday, especially once he figured out the voice remote. At first he was leaning down and shouting at her. I had to tell him that was not necessary!

I want to see text to speech and have it read any kindle book in your library. If Fire tablet can do text to speech I don't see why Echo can't. The voice on Echo is really good too. Ivona was a big improvement over the former text to speech Amazon had, but in Echo, its another step up. Very nice work.

I'd like one without the power cord and I need another so I can have one up and downstairs. I was trying to play Prime music on my tablet on a different level of my house and I kept wanting to speak to it. Making the request to Alexis feels much more natural, where on my tablet, I had to hunt and search for what I wanted.

Amazon has a winner with this. I'm finding it far more natural to use then Siri, which I forget to use half the time.

I don't think that's it. I've had Prime for 5? 6 years? No invite here, either.

I haven't gotten an invite (yet), but I did notice that when I go to the Echo page today there's an Add to Cart link and the discount is applied when you start check-out. Invites may be going out today! [I haven't completed check-out yet, but I probably will be lunchtime.]

Day 5 and still loving it.

As a Bluetooth speaker, it pairs nicely with my devices (Nexus 7, Fire Phone, Fire HD 6, etc).

But, voice commands are still yielding the wrong results. A command for classic rock on iHeart yielded some weird easy listening stuff. When Alexa asked to add it to my list, I said no and then repeated my command. Alexa's response was to add the station anyway. So I told her to stop and delete it. The response was she couldn't edit stations at this time.

Alright Amazon, add station editing to Alexa's repertoire.

Alexa's getting a bit too sassy. I'm gonna have to put her in her place

Still highly recommend getting it!

It's on the product page for me http://www.amazon.com/oc/echo (in place of where it used to have the "request an invite" button).

As it's account-specific, I believe it might just be active for the next round of invites. That's my theory, anyway.
