Amazon has updated their Whispersync freebie for the month. This month's offering is "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. To get the freebie you must first get the free Kindle book, then you can get the free Audible version. BTW, this is the Blackstone Audio version, narrated by Ralph Cosham.

I just got this through the Kindle Unlimited program. I thought the book was good and Ralph Cosham to be serviceable in his reading.

This showed up in my cart at full price even though I already own the free version.I have noticed Amazon and Audible seem not to have linked the Classic Whispersync titles correctly.I have contacted Audible about this and they said they are working on resolving this issue.

They deserve stupid questions. They have lousy customer service and do a poor job implementing policy and relaying it to their reps.

I purchased a book in 2013 and could not find it. I did not pay attention to the last 6 month purchase.

I wanted that book to listen to yesterday lol. Could not find it so I started Dean Koontz - Lightning.

Well, I'll give them credit on one front at least. While their DRM is seriously annoying, they are VERY good about resetting max devices and/or machines that the software is running on. I have to rebuild my main machines a LOT, and have to call them at least once a year, sometimes more. They're always very willing to reset. Of course, if they didn't have DRM, they wouldn't have to reset it for me every year.
