existing VL not working

I had a VL (Have Read) that has worked for ages and now fails to find anything on 2.12 (Win 7 64)

Code:

#finished:true and formats:EPUB

#finished is a 'Date' type

@theducks - I just made a similar one, seems to work OK - did you try remove and recreate

Mine was as follows, #metachecked is a date

#metachecked:true and formats:EPUB

Does it work on 2.11 ?

Yes it did work 2.11 and before. This is my Main Library PC (W7HP Laptop)

I just tried 2.12 on my other system. It still works.
Bad install? (used same install file)
Running DB (Library) check NOW: Passed with no errors

@theducks - download & install 32bit so you can try on same library & config.

Did you have a look at metadata_db_prefs_backup.json for anything suspect. I've had it go a bit off-centre a couple of times (not regarding VL's though), and Restore database didn't pick it up - I think it checks the syntax but maybe not all/any of the semantics.

Did you try removing and recreating the VL, should only take a moment and you'll lose nothing.

If push comes to shove, you have a recent backup, I trust

FWIW I had deleted the VL.
The

search would not even work

(really strange)

Copied entire Library from laptop to new (a refurb) desktop. all is good so it was not the JSON either
