Well, herrrrumph, I of course don't have my Voyage yet - sulk.

But now, Oberon sent me a photo, excellent customer service, of their cover for the Voyage with the device inside. The cover does indeed extend to a biggish margin all around the edges (hard to say exactly but I'd say about half an inch). They are revamping their site and intend to update their page on various models of Kindles in covers.

I quite like the Omotom map one, seems nice and light and the map looks better in your pics, O Omotom owner (sorry, forgot who posted). But they're not available in the UK.

So I went ahead and took the plunge and re ordered my Orange ForeFront case - which I had cancelled because, like some others here, I thought their sales practices a tad sharp. But, nine reviews rave.

Who knows, perhaps after having placed my order on the 20 Sep, I'll have my Voyage (mispacked at the slightly Orwellian-ly named 'fulfillment centre') in time for Christmas, along with a usable case.

I'd be very interested what you think of the Forefront case when you get it, I did see on the Kindle boards that someone said the colour was a lot brighter than the picture, something to bear in mind.

I have the Omoton coming from the U.S. via a freind.

I posted a couple pictures of my Oberon Voyage Case at the bottom of the last page. I love the case, but it is a little bit bigger than it needs to be. The good news is that, from what I hear, it'll fit my Paperwhite... if I ever get one.

I like the omoton case (received it today) but I prefer gel/rubber cases for reading at home, it gets less in the way; but I couldn't find any for the Voyage. Maybe in a few months?

Ha JosieB if it is a brighter Orange than that depicted I'm going to need sunglasses! I'll be sure to post but I'm not back in the UK 'til 23rd Dec - so bear with me

I'll finally get the Voyage I ordered on the 20th Sept, which they mispacked in their 'non-fulfillment' centre and is now floating around somewhere, bricked. Back to the end of the queue and a delivery date for the 19th Dec.

Well, at least I'll get the device and the case at the same time.

Thanks MickeyMark. Yup it will def fit the PW. i had a PW in an Oberon K4 case which fit perfectly. They do good work, enjoy it.

I have the Forefront Leather Metal Black. I think its a good case, especially for the price.

Nice-looking case. Very like the Amazon case for the PW1/2. I actually had that case on order, but cancelled it when Forefront sent me a "Shipped" notification at the start of October, when they had not in fact done so.

It works very well and I'll just add my usual DIY of adding magnets (so the cover sticks to the back) and wrist band (so i'm more relaxed holding it while reading on the train

).

I had a Forefront case arrive on Monday. My Voyage went in it at about 5pm, fully charged. 9am yesterday morning I opened my case and the Voyage was on, no sleep wake, the screen was totally unresponsive. I couldn't do a restart or anything. I was starting to panic a bit so I got it out of the case, still nothing. I then plugged it into the charger, after a few seconds the screen flashed then changed to a drained battery screen. After four hours it was fully charged.

Needless to say the case has gone back and I don't want a replacement. I'm using a Fintie case now and luckily my Voyage is working fine.

I have two other cases and it's not happened with any other case.

Looking at the photos they look pretty much the same. Maybe your case was defective? Mine locks ups pretty well with the magnets and goes/returns from sleep.

I had some problems but they are the ones related to the OS (happens the same without the cover.)

Strange (if the case was defective) that your kindle didn't go to sleep though...

My screen was completely frozen and it was showing as almost fully charged. It wasn't until I got it out of the case and connected to the mains charger that it flashed a couple of times and the drained battery/connect to a USB lead page appeared. Personally I think the magnet was far too strong. I can only go by what happened and the last thing I want is to have to have my Voyage replaced as I am quite happy with my screen

It hasn't happened since it went back into the Fintie case. I wasn't going to risk putting it back into the Forefront case.

What version of the case did you have? (metalic or regular)
I have the one with the metal on the cover (like you see in the pictures)
