Publishing Short Documents

Hi there-
Not sure if this is the correct category for my question, but here goes...

I would like to know about publishing short documents. I have a 12 page How-to info guide I've written and would like to publish on Smashwords, Amazon, etc. I know Amazon has a special category for short docs, but it says 30-90 pages. (I assume 1 page on MS Word = 1 page on the Kindle, etc.) I couldn't find Amazon's page specifically for info on this.

How or where do people go about publishing short documents and is a 12 pager sellable (assuming content is of quality)? What price range goes for this type of thing? Do you still need to create a cover for it like regular books?

Thanks for any help/input/comments/feedback/opinions you can share!

It would have to be absolutely packed with useful information,for me to pay for a 12-page document, and I probably wouldn't pay more than 99 cents for it.
