Thanks anyway.
Well 3 is not equal to 0. Whether you like the 3 is a different question but they exist.

Depending on what you mean, I understand this a lot. However, some technologies are just better suited to certain tasks than others, and you will have to accept serious compromises. If you are cool with that though, a few people have provided some choices.

Well, aside from the compromises that you have to accept in the drastic technology differences which are not equally suited to the tasks at hand.

Truth is though, you should use what works best for you. That's what I do. And it frequently results in hilarious and strange circumstances... and yet, I keep doing it.

Worth noting that the CyBook Ocean has a resolution of only 160ppi, which is rather low in modern terms. Most modern devices have resolutions of over 200ppi, and the new Kindle Voyage is 300dpi.

AFAIK the Onyx T68 front light is way inferior to the Koba Aura HD and the H2O. I think the kobo also has a browser.

Saying that, the Onyx might be the best bet because you can install from a raft of different browsers as it's open Android.

Really? The only thing that I could complain about the T68 light is the minimum brightness.

Other than that, it's a completely uniform lit screen, no dark areas or uneven light source areas.

If the Kobo Aura HD and the H2O beat that, then I am really impressed!

The problem is that the way the lights are built, they don't work well for say a 9.7" screen. You would need to have LEDs on the top as well as the bottom and that would then drain the battery even more when the light was in use.

I too found the T68's lighting to be entirely satisfactory. Rizla, what don't you like about it?

I agree. The T68 has a few problems, but the quality of the screen isn't one of them. The lighting is at least as good as my Kobo Aura--if only the touchscreen were better, and the battery life, and the performance.

Battery life and performance I can put up with because it's dealing with the android system.

The lighting, as I've mentioned earlier, I think is superb. I'd hold the T68 up as an example of how lighting should be done. I just hope they've got the same lighting genius involved with the M96 successor!

If they do that, then we'll have a world's first 9.7" device with an excellent backlight

Well, no, but they can be second :-)

Mind you, the E930 does not have open Android, so Onyx definitely has the edge there!
