Google Drive or Amazon Cloud Drive web sites still work (or did the last time I tried them). I'm wondering if the Voyage browser will work any better. For one thing the page turn buttons should make reading wikipedia articles more pleasant (scrolling with finger up down swipes is not).

The thing is the rest of my life is pretty much fully on Dropbox (shared family, friends, work/home) and I really don't want two of those apps running all the time, which is what I would need to keep Calibre synced.
I really wish there were simple instructions on how to set up the Calibre server. I don't understand why its address is 127.whatever when the rest of my network is 192.168.1.etc. |

Hi Guys,
I am running into the same issue as this. I would really like to use dropbox for the extra storage, however from thread it looks as if I cant. I decided to look into amazon cloud drive instead. I set it up, and uploaded a mobi file to it to test it out. I then access the amazon cloud drive through the experimental browser just fine. I can even highlight the mobi file I want. However this is where I run into problems. The only option that resembles download at this point is a cloud with a down arrow. I click this and it looks as if it is downloading/thinking for a second, then it just goes back to normal. Looking then at my kindle I am expecting to see the new book, however there is nothing. Does anyone know how the download works from paperwhite, accessing amazon drive through the exp browser? Dropbox would obviously have been my first option but now looking for alternatives. |

I don't really know how Amazon Cloud Drive works, but the Kindle should be able to download any file offered for download, assuming the website doesn't crash first.
![]() Have you tried using one of the hacked browsers, to see if it does a better job of understanding the website? |

Personally, I feel the skipstone browser hack is infinitely preferable over the builtin browser. Also, I was offering a potential solution for Amazon Cloud Drive (in response to @dogorman65) -- I can confirm myself that the hacked browsers do not solve anything for Dropbox. |

Thanks eschwartz.
Its funny the way that dropbox crashes while accessing it. Almost like they wanted it that way in updated code ![]() Live in hope! |

Dropbox works with 5.6.1 !?!
Kindle newbie here (Sony orphan making the switch). Decided to see what would happen if I tried to access Dropbox and ... it worked !?!
I have a new Kindle Voyage with latest firmware 5.6.1 accessing the mobile Dropbox site. The browser's a little flaky and I often have to press the link a few times before it takes, but I have successfully downloaded several files from Dropbox to Kindle yesterday and today. Hope it's not a fluke ![]() |

Hah! Yes! It's working!
I guess the change was on Dropbox's side of things since no update was required. |
