I think how you read that chart is 8 days for Free Ground i.e. (last) Dec 16 + 8 = Dec. 24. or max 5 calendar days (2 business days) for the FedEx 2day $7.00 shipping i.e. (last) Dec. 19 + 5 = Dec. 24!

holy cow, am i hallucinating ?? the USED kindles on amazon start at 700$ and go up to 1500$ ???? who spends 1500$ on a kindle ??? you can get 4 of them for that price and have some change left over !

I've always thought that eInk reader designers can learn a lot from the design of eBookwise, minus the weight and thickness. Sony almost did it with the PRS-700, but they botched up the screen.

Glad you were all able to get one - the refurbs are now sold out. However, that status apparently changes during the day (as they get another cleared to go, it shows up and disappears when sold). So, any others wanting one will need to bookmark the spot (or this thread) and check it now and then, in order to find one.

I saw some went for $999 over on ebay.

As of the current time (3:56 am EST), refurbished Kindles ($329) are back in stock at Amazon (there were at least two and now at least one!

). Dozens have been sold and shipped this week, but they keep rolling in and back out again. They won't last, so order one while you can. If you miss one this morning, be sure to read my post about playing Kindle Lotto. You too can have a bright shiny Kindle under the tree this year, and without having to pay the exorbitant prices on eBay.
