Wearable Devices - Page 4

Speaking of wearable technology, I'm looking forward to my next pair of hearing aids. Companies are beginning to come out with Bluetooth models now, even in Completely-In-Canal devices such as I wear. It will be great to listen to audiobooks on my phone or MP3 player while Norton and I go for our daily walks without having to pull out my hearing aids to put in ear buds. The bad news is that my insurance only pays for a pair every three years and I just started wearing these in January, but hey! Gives me something to look forward to.

Gosh, I SO want a watchphone (my partner is sick of hearing me gush over them), but I'm scared I'll buy "the wrong one" lol... I'm holding out for the next generation at least, I think, because my ideal setup would be getting rid of my smartphone entirely, using my 10.1" Tablet and a smartwatch (and probably a headset lol) for everything.
I think I'd like to have watch paired to my tablet through which I can make calls (without pulling the tablet out) and check messages etc, then I'd only need to pull the tablet out when I need a decent sized screen.
Decent battery life is a must, naturally..
Anyone with a wearable able to tell me if this kind of setup is do-able yet?

Well, what happens if someone staggers in to the hospital on the brink of death, for whatever reasons, and doesn't have any form of payment on them?

The scenario is not exclusive to smartphone/NFC/smartwatch-based payment systems. I assume they have precedents.

I wear the Zeo sleep manager headband when I sleep. It allows me to track my sleep patterns throughout the night via an android app. The Zeo is now obsolete and no longer available.
