I have been in a somewhat reading slump for the 2nd month now. So I think I need a recharge, or a jump start. I am going to re-read the Fever series by Moning. I realize it has been already over 4 years since I have read it. No clue where the time went.
![]() Since I pretty much inhaled those books when I first read them, I think I might get some more details this time around and by the end I hope I can get back to my regular voracious romance reading. I already have some nice ones lined up for after on Scribd and books I already own. I want to be able to inhale my beloved historicals again. I am sad that I have read so few lately. Well I read few books period. I guess the Fever series will be my holiday reading. ![]() I don't really read christmas based stories. |

I find I have to reread old favorites or totally change genres (like biographies or other non-fiction) to get out of a long reading slump. Thankfully I haven't had one for a few years (knock wood). They are certaininly no fun.

I wish I could blame the slump on a game. But it one of the worst I have had. They usually only last a week or two.
I can't read something I normally don't read or enjoy, so it still has be be on my genre list. I would die of boredom trying to read non fiction. So favorite non romance it is. Urban fantasy is still a genre I like reading though. Fever is just darker a bit and I think it will wake up me need for romances again. I also just cancelled Kindle Unlimited subscription. The not reading a lot of books and the lack of selection in the program finally did it. So much stuff has been pulled out which I can see on my wishlist I set up. I am going back to my monthly prime loan. Wonder if I get one of those in November. My subscription will be out on the 21st. I will keep Scribd for sure though. |

I just read something really good--it's m/m romance, Edwardian setting-- _Think of England_ by K.J. Charles. It's reasonably priced for the Kindle, though not free. If you're looking for something just a little different, I recommend it. It's a Dear Author Recommended Read as well.

I really wanted to spend more time with the characters when the book was over--that's a good book to me! Apparently it includes an homage to the Edwardian pulp adventure/mystery novels--which I haven't read, but you don't miss out if you haven't and it's probably even more clever if you have read them.

just out of curiosity the book mentions what is the nationality off Daniel da Silva?
I went to look at the book, since I liked some of your previous recommendations and saw the name, if it is a compatriot it's another reason to read the book ![]() there is a book (A Case of Possession) from this author on scribd. Spoiler:

That was my plan. I can always keep adding to that wishlist, its not going anywhere. And 6 months from now or so, I'll revisit and see what the content is then.

The Magpie Lord books are good, but it's better to start with the first book, I'd think. They're more of an uf/paranormal type of historical m/m romance. Last edited by Joykins; 11-20-2014 at 01:44 PM. |

It's Christmastide, but Holly Mathers can't get into the spirit. She's been obsessing over a hookup gone wrong with the hot, green-eyed Will MacIvey, who's treating her like the ghost of Christmas past. But magic always comes with a price... |
