We're jumping from a high of 77F today (Wednesday) to a high of 47 on Friday. Gotta love the change of seasons in the South.

OK then ... the meteorological roller coaster runs again! Practically balmy early in the week (60's - 70's F), 34 F this morning (with 20 - 30 mph winds) with a high of 50 F, arctic air arrives tonight, rain & 60's F on Monday & Tuesday, followed by more arctic air.

I am picturing myself encased in a parka wielding my leaf blower this weekend amidst wind chills in the 20's F..... sigh

Subtract 10 degrees (or 15) from all of those, and that's what WE'VE got. Our cold got here yesterday. Mid 20's. Maybe teens (10's) in a few days.

We're actually about 5 degrees below that down here across the board. But I love this weather, so biting wind notwithstanding, i am finally content.

Currently 18 F here. Calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow before Sunday morning. I'm all for it, it'll cover up the leaves that didn't get raked.

I'm really getting sick of January weather in the middle of November. Last Monday 10 inches of snow fell, it's up to 14 inches on the ground now, and high temperatures in the upper teens to low twenties (F) are forecast through at least Thursday.

Overnight ice and snow (in Massachusetts) turned to a day of rain, which tapered off on my drive home. Temps have been rising since sunset as a (brief) warm front passes through. Another cold front should arrive tomorrow.
