I'm surprise the Nexus 7 is not on sale anywhere. It makes glad I got it last year when it was. I have to say this year's deals are not wowing me.

Evidently the retailers feel the economy has improved and feel people will shop. No need for cut throat prices.

Nexus 7 is becoming a bit scarce.

Amazon has it for $180 for the 16GB.

Half the people I work with moved to NYC from Seattle and another fourth issued from places like Yakima and Mercer Island. I've been meaning to visit Washington again.

I miss the Fred Meyer stores in Portland, though I'll be seeing them at some point next year.

No way would I ever move to NYC or anywhere else east of the Cascades

I love Portland and could easily live there. Great city. I don't know if you're aware of it, but Kroger bought out Fred Meyer in the late 90's and kept the FM branding.

This is not a BF deal, but in case anyone is waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S to drop in price, I just got this email from Amazon (Dealmonkey, let me know if posting this here is against your rules):

This is the right place. The other thread is on hold until the end of the year. Since BF has expanded so much with tons of pre and post sales, it's easier to keep track of these deals in the same thread.

Are you gonna get the mini 2? That's easily the best tablet deal this season.

I think the Fire HD 6 has totally eclipsed the HD 7. Amazon is currently offering a free 30-day trial for the HD 7, but not the HD 6.

I agree. That Discover deal they have going doesn't include the Fire 6, either. The Fire HD 6 is a high quality tablet for a low price....and unique in size...a winner all the way around. Did you get yours yet, Monkey?

Not yet. I decided to wait for the BF sales. Still want 16GB, but will settle for 8GB depending on the price difference.

I want a tablet but I'm so lost. I keep getting hung up on the lack of a card slot, as cloud storage is not appealing.

Look at what you want to load, and see how much space it would take. Think in terms of 32gb without sd card and see how much you will have left over.

I felt the same way as you, but I went ahead and purchased a Nexus 2012 w 32gb and after loading 1000+ books and over 600+ songs I still have over 20gb of space to fill!
