yes, definitely. but, if you want to have more choices, wait until after the holidays and get the onyx 86. i hope they will be solving the problems they had with the T68. oohhh, don't get me wrong, I don't regret buying my Inkpad, is just wait a bit. |

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=190641 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moiRFi6Ttp4 k2pdfopt will also be usefull for InkPad 840 if e.g. we are not satisfied with the way reader has zoomed some A4 pdf in landscape or maybe with the flipping speed thereafter. 6" screen is 12 cm wide in landscape and the text width in A5 book is about 12 cm or less, but even if it was 13 or 14 cm wide it would still be quite readable in landscape without margins. 6" screen is 9 cm wide in portraite and the text width of a column in two-column A4 pdf is less than 9 cm. Reading A4 one-column pdf on 6" reader is also possible if we use k2pdfopt's reflow mode (for exact pdf image). KPV viewer has this pdf image reflow mode already intergrated therein, but it is better to use k2pdfopt beforehand (to reflow pdf completely on PC beforehand) because kindle 3 and many other e-ink readers are not that powerfull for reflowing it very fast on the fly, page by page. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PauN_9O4dM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5bH8T2QiFE Last edited by markom; 11-13-2014 at 06:40 AM. |

Charts, tables and pictures are resized to fit the screen. Of course, for A4 pdf and A5 it is better to have bigger screen so that there is no need for scrolling or k2pdfopt. 8" readers like InkPad 840 should be good enough for showing A5 pdf page in portraite (with or without cropped margins depending on original text width) and even A4 pdf (slightly minified though) in landscape (margins cropped) for people with normal vision or nearsighted. I'll definitely buy one 8" reader with light and high resolution soon. Last edited by markom; 11-13-2014 at 07:01 AM. |

I have a hard time to believe it. In the first picture (no light) the H2O doesn't even look remotely gray, the way eInk displays usually do. But on other review sites you see the H2O with the regular eInk gray. So I think those pictures may be deceiving in some way. Still waiting for more detailed reviews... |
