I think perkopolis is only still working in Canada...at least it doesn't work for me in the US anymore, but does still work on my trips to Canada...

Hrm, it seems this particular book (Idiot's Guide to Playing Ukulele) doesn't take any promo codes. The ones that "should" be valid say, "The promo code could not be applied" (and sometimes "... to your purchase.) Haven't encountered this before.

I got the email too, so I'm guessing the code is good for anyone. Brings the Aura down to $99 -- though I really don't know what advantages it has over the Glo. (I guess, right now, it's $30 cheaper, unless you buy the refurbished Glo for $79.)

FYI when I tried to order a Kobo with the $40 code my credit card kept getting denied. Called the CC company and they said they'd approved it twice and Kobo had reversed the charges. She gave me a number to call Kobo and the agent said it had been happening to a lot of people, and I had to use "Google". I told her Google is a search engine, so that won't help. Finally in frustration I asked to speak to someone who understands the Internet and actually knew what Google was. While she was off asking I finally figured out she wanted me to use CHROME. Anyway...that worked. So if you have issues with another browser, try Chrome.

There are differences between the Aura and the Glo. The Aura screen is better than the Glo, the hard drive is 4gb rather than 2gb, and it's smaller and lighter. For $20 more I wish I'd known this deal was coming....I bought a reconditioned Glo a couple weeks ago as a spare for $79. The extra $20 for an Aura would have been well worth it to me.
