The protrusion, when the cover is folded back, is so minimal-- that protrusion is the clasp that keeps the ereader in place, and it's almost identical to the left clasp. My hand completely covers it, I really don't notice it. Might be worth trying one if you can return it.
But everyone has different tolerances. I find the line and dot on he Voyage distracting; eventually I'll get a skin for it. |

Oh noes... I found it...
Does anybody have this cover from AliExpress ? It looks to be an almost exact copy of my Kindle Paperwhite cover. Although it is said to come with a stylus (in which I'm not interested), it seems not to have that durned loop on the right. When looking at the pictures, it also looks like it has the retaining flap on the left, but obviously I can't see if it has velcro. If it has, then the only difference compared to my Kindle's cover is the wide logo cutout instead of a narrow one (which i don't really mind). It can best be described as the Gecko Deluxe cover + left retaining flap, as far as I'm able to see. If this is of the same quality as my Kindle's cover (which cost €9.95, as is holding up perfectly for about two yeras now), it would be the perfect one and might just make me try the H2O. Does anybody have any info? |

I don't have it, but it looks very nice! I'm tempted to get one myself. Good luck if you give it a try. I hope you like it.

A case that you had to take the H2O out of to charge, or to plug in the USB cable (which are the same thing, of course) would be a real pain, particularly if you sideload all your books. A nice thing about the Gecko case is how easy it is to open the rubber flap over the port.

There is an opening on the underside of the case I link to. The only thing I wonder about is if it is possible to open the rubber flap while the reader is in the cover. |

Up to now, I've been reading without a cover since my handbag has a perfect front cover for protecting it, but I plan to buy one for when I use a different handbag. I asked gecko how heavy the future slim cover will be and they said between 100 and 150g (not very precise, I assume none is manufactured yet). Could someone with the Kobo sleep cover tell me how much it weighs?

Thank you. I gather the gecko is the same weight approximately.
Comparing it to the official kobo cover * there is the extra strap to close it, which would make it less slim but would avoid it opening accidentally * the inside front is antislip and waterproof - I wonder how it feels: I'd prefer a soft touch * there is a choice of colours - but I could take a leave from chi cygni and apply some of the decal girl skins I just ordered for the front of the device to the the kobo cover. It is only 5€ less than the French price for the kobo cover, so the price wouldn't be an element of choice. I think I'll wait until someone reports on the gecko slimfit cover - which is available by the way. |

This one appeared yesterday on Ebay. I ordered a black one. I like the fact that it's missing the plated metal howdayacallitinenglish thingie (clasp? tab?) on te front cover and that on the back the plastic shell is almost completely covered by faux leather (unlike the Gecko). If it proves flawless I'll keep it and give away my first purchase
