Karine123,

The Nook for PC program appears to still be available here:

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/nook-for-pc/379003591/
Nook for PC [download page]

I have this version installed on my netbook, and it is working / syncing up purchased titles. It worked fine a couple of weeks ago; it allowed me to download my approx. 20 B&N Classics Series titles. (Afterwards, I used the Apprentice Alf plugins with Calibre to remove the DRM. The "Alf'ing" was successful on all but one book).

You might want to remove and try that last one again. Sometimes the plug-in just gets overwhelmed I think.

Well, it might just be the glitchiness of Nook Study. Honestly, people have always had issues logging on to it. Long before B&N decided to stop supporting downloading and sideloading.

If you're having trouble with B&N DRM, there's some new info in the comments at Apprentice Alf's.
Thank you, I will give that a try asap. I have been downloading and using calibre to strip and convert my books all along so I am not stranger to that. I had heard they removed the download links thus went searching for a way around especially since I have some credit to spend on B&N. Thanks again for the replies.

I think it's your plug-ins that are a little rusty.

Make sure you have the latest version. And remove any obsolete ones.

Is the download button script GreaseMonkey uses hosted anywhere else? I've been trying to grab it all day, and getting time out errors.

That links works, but the actual script page doesn't. userscripts.org is gone as of Aug 2014.

Doesn't work: http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/152985.user.js

However, I was able to retrieve it via the Wayback Machine and manually load it in GreaseMonkey.

I had just updated my CC on BN and bought a new book yesterday. I was able to download it via the Nook for PC App, but I can't get the Calibre Plugin to work. I tried deleting the older version of the plugin I had (6.05) and installing the latest (6.09) and adding a brand new config with the name/cc# I used yesterday but the unlock fails. This is so damn frustrating! I want to read the book on my Kobo AuraHD -- I don't even have a Nook anymore. Is this a lost cause?
