It could very well be a synthetic leather. I would think that anything advertised as vegan would be. This cover isn't advertised as vegan, but I really doubt any part of it comes from animal hide.

AFAIK if it uses the split leather, then it comes from the animal.

Could this topic now be any more first-world problem? People debating the veganness of a cover for a $200-dollar device which can be used exclusively for reading by people most likely already possessing expensive smart phones and tablets.

im wondering will the voyage fit in a

kindle 2 or kindle 3 etc case ( its a book case thats spare)
or can some one list voyage case links please as friend is trying to find a
case for it

current idea is to use an egsisting case
or a flip note pad style case with stand or book type case.
really stuggling to find ideas

Yes, I did mean in general. I am not vegan, but I have friends who are and who would flip out if they heard that PU leather contains real leather.

Sian - your posts are VERY hard work to read. Please use conventional English spellings and capitalisation!

No, you can't use a K2/K3 case for a Voyage; the Voyage is a much smaller device.

Typing "Kindle Voyage case" into the search box at amazon.co.uk returns half a dozen different choices.

Surely one would assume that something described as "leather" came from an animal, would one not? Buy a plastic case if you don't want a leather one.

So after a lot of faffing about, looking in B+M stores for a decentish case for my new Voyage, I opted for one of the ELTD Ultra Slim Cases (in blue, just for giggles) until I can get a decent leather case. I have found that holding the device without a cover quite tricky when I'm reading in bed as I'm used to the fold of a folio case to hook my thumb into.

I hope it's ok as I shall be stuck with it for a while!

Ooh, I just canceled my order for the red fintie cover. They added a map pattern, available 11/24. There's no pic yet, but I expect it will look similar to the iPad version:



There's also a newpaper pattern, no doubt similar to this one:

I've just been looking at cases as I would prefer a book style case and I like the Finitie. Ironically it appears to be much cheaper and quicker to buy it from a US seller on ebay, compared to UK Amazon who want £13 + £7 shipping and a month for delivery!

Assuming its the same product of course. Has anyone bought the Finitie case from ebay?
