You're welcome. I imagine it's always tough work even for those who have written dozens of books as each book is 'the book.'

I don't think I'll ever attempt to promote a book at the same time as finishing a new book. That was the first and last time I'll do that.

The reason is exactly as you suggested: each current writing project is an obsession. You need to sink deep into it. I can sometimes distract myself with a quick short story but I can't think about two novels simultaneously. Thankfully now I can revert back to being an obsessed dysfunctional alcoholic hermit, at least until I'm ready to send the manuscript.
