Blood Magick was a pre-order from a few months ago. Wish Google and Amazon would do some nice sales on 2015's big releases since most aren't Kobo coupon eligible.

And, yes, I did buy a complete-so-far series by a new-to-me author without having read any of the books (which I am NOT supposed to do!) I blame the fact that the prequel novella (actually 2.5 in publishing order) was free and book 3 is about the couple in the novella (so I had obviously had to buy that one, right?) but I need to read series books in order (hence books 1 & 2). I need a hangs head in shame smiley. In lieu of that

I highly recommend Sarina Bowen's NA series, The Ivy Years. The novella in the series:

Blonde Date

is currently FREE. Just be prepared to be hooked, even if you don't usually read NA.

My favorite is the second book in the series, The Year We Hid Away, but every book in the series was a B+ or A read for me.

I read a little bit more of These Old Shades. I will finish this book someday, I did buy a book well hubby bought it for me. it's a Hardback edition of Twelve Sharp! As you know it's my birthday month. We have this store called Ollie's Bargain Outlet and they have books like the one mention for like $4. Brand New too. I told hubby I want Hard Eight next. Poor hubby is sick with a very bad man cold and now I am feeling like I'm coming down with it. It's been stressful weekend. The power keeps going out anytime there a little bit of wind and Duke has no answers on what's wrong with it or why it hasn't been fixed. I unplug my desktop as it's flickers like mad before going out. I can hear the lights in the apartment arcing and sizzling when it happens. On Saturday we was without power for 6 hours! It's 38F here. Yes it does get that cold in Raleigh it seems. I've got the heat on. It's comes on for like 2 minutes and goes off. I can see why there is a baseboard heater in the bedrooms.

So I need to get my holiday reading together but it's on the Desktop which is unplug till I feel it's safe to use it.
